About the event
This is a free event, to ensure access for all. If you wish to donate any amount toward this event, you will be asked to "pay what you can" on the booking page. All profits will be fed back into CFH, and this will ensure the continuation and growth of this event in the coming years. If you cannot pay towards your ticket, please do not feel obligated to, and simply enter "£0" in the pay what you can box.
In this workshop Dave will demonstrate how to make a slab and coil gluggle jug in the shape of a fish.
You will then have a go at making your own version of the famous Victorian classic jug. Dave will be on hand throughout to support your through the process with knowhow, encouragement and (if needed) remedial intervention!
If you wish, you can personalise your gluggle by applying coloured slip.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience working with clay. It is aimed at adults and young people from 12 years upwards who have an interest in creative activities. Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian over 21.
At the end of the session you have the option to have your Gluggle Jug glazed and fired for a separate fee, as this is a pay what you can event.
