Join us for rapid paced outdoor Raku firings in Hightown outdoor market. 

Raku firings are high paced for the easy going world. We start by popping some glazed pots in our outdoor kiln, crank up the gas for 45 minutes, and then open the kiln at a balmy 1000C. Your pots will be put through smoking reduction bins, and quenched in icy water before being returned to you to be scrubbed up to reveal what the kiln gods have created.

Friday and Saturday 10.30am & 12.30pm

Channel 4's The Great Pottery Throw Contestant, Janet is a playful potter, who expresses her creativity wonderfully on thrown and sculpted ware. She will be delivering an interactive making workshop Friday 12-130pm @ Maylord Orchards

Knucklas based potter Tony Hall is joining us on Hereford High Town to show case his mind boggling Throwing Big demonstration.

Expect lots of clay and fire!

Bryony enjoys teaching a wide range of ceramic processes in the Ceramics Workshop at HCA.

She has always taught alongside her practice, and has delivered many workshops to schools and community groups.

She loves surface pattern, and incorporates different printing techniques into her work.

Bryony will be running press moulding and print on clay workshops on Saturday and Sunday afternoon @ Maylord Orchards.

This year we will be hosting a ceramics sustainability hub, having teamed up with Hereford River Carnival, the Wildlife Trust, and local makers!

The Sustainability Hub Trinity Trinity Square Maylord Orchards will have stalls from local organisations, a display of work from Rupert Brakspear, and an interactive public project!

All weekend 10am - 3pm
